DAY 1 Lessons: 3 Key Elements of a Successful Blog

Welcome to our 30-Day Free Online Course - BLOGGING For FUN & PROFITS.

The lessons in this course are especially designed with the online "newbies" in mind. We hope that in 30 days you will be able to acquire effective blogging skills that will help you find online work or extra income from your blogging activities.

BLOGGING For FUN & PROFITS

To start a successful blog, you must first do the following:

1. BECOME the IDEAL You

You need to condition your mind and truly believe that this is the start of your successful blog.  Why? Because it Is!  I know that at the back of your mind you may have doubts BUT I also know that somehow somewhere deep in your heart, you also believe that you can be successful in something and this might be it.

Please read...

“SEEING IT, SPEAKING IT EACH DAY, EVERYDAY, GREATLY INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF SUCCESS.  IMAGINE IT SO CLEARLY THAT YOU SEE YOURSELF WITH IT, ENJOYING IT, COMMIT YOURSELF TO IT, THAT’S HOW YOU LIVE IN ABUNDANCE.”  (read it again!)

It's a quote from Bryan Thayer, author of the book "The 1-Minute Networker".

True, you MUST envision (imagine) yourself to be a successful blogger and you MUST commit yourself to it.  The IDEAL YOU – a committed blogger with a vision to succeed.

2. COMMIT your TIME

For the next 30 days I need you to commit your time.  You MUST devote at least 1-Hour of your day to blogging. Only an hour BUT it has to be an hour OF 100% COMMITMENT FOCUS ON YOUR BLOGGING ACTIVITY.

When to blog? … Whenever is the most convenient time for you.

You have to PLAN a daily regular schedule, a time of day or night when there are no distractions (or less of it), ideally a time when your mind is “most” focus, clear of issues, concerns and stress.

No excuses! If you want to learn and earn then you have to FIND TIME (or make time) to do it! You must commit and do the work.  Remember this:

“EVERY WINNER HAS A PLAN and EVERY LOSER HAS AN EXCUSE.
WINNERS MAKE COMMITMENTS and LOSERS MAKE PROMISES.”

3. FIND your TOPIC (your “niche”)

To make your blogging a FUN learning experience you need to choose a topic that you are passionate about.  A topic that you like to talk about with your friends. Things you are truly interested in.  Here’s a list of sample topics:

  • My Recycling Art Projects
  • Old Philippine Churches
  • Exotic Pinoy Dishes
  • Great Filipino Inventions and Inventors
  • “Old School” Cars in the Philippines
  • Health and Fitness for People in their 30’s (or 40’s, 50’s so on…)
  • My Life as a Filipino Greenpeace Volunteer
  • Jose Rizal, My Pinoy Hero

Notice something similar about the topics?  They are specific or the so-called “niche”.  All successful blogs have a niche.

Philippine Heroes is a good topic but Jose Rizal is a good niche.  Remember your elementary English lessons? It’s like common and proper nouns and we will be focusing on the “proper nouns” to find your niche.

TO SUMMARIZE OUR LESSON FOR TODAY:

Before starting your blog, you must do the following:

1. Become the IDEAL you
2. Commit at least 1-hour of your time daily to blogging. and
3. Find your niche.

YOUR ASSIGNMENT:  Create a Gmail Account

That's it for Day 1!  Our next lesson (Day 2) is about setting-up your Blogger Blog.

God Bless!

PRAYER for TODAY :

“Lord guide me in my daily tasks, may I always see things in a new light so as not to lose my enthusiasm for life.  Teach me to be humble in order for me to openly receive wisdom and acquire knowledge.

Every man may not be great, but there’s something great in every man.  Lord help me, guide me to find that “greatness” in me.  Inspire me in everything I do no matter how big or small the task at hand is.”

AMEN

  2. I've been blogging since I was in college
I started with freewebs.com and friendster. unfortunately my stressful college days hindered my blogging career...
Back in 2011 I decided to open an account in WordPress, but my problem back then was, I don't know where to start and how to begin my blog...
So ,I decided to deactivate my WordPress account and continue working in the "CORPORATE WORLD" which I'm not so happy bcoz' its monotonous and I dont see my self growing and I cant express my Individuality.
But thanks to your article now I know how to operate my Wordpress and I will begin from here..
Pls continue to post tips and guides about internet skills coz you will be helping a lot of hopeful bloggers..

    Thanks

  4. Having your own WordPress blog is an exciting thing. It's fun to blog, and it's a great way to turn your passion into profit by simply writing about what you love, and then monetizing your blog.
